Around 40% of teenagers have reduced their time on social media, according to a report. Additionally, 38% of teens feel they spend too much time on their smartphones and 27% think they spend too much time on social media. Concerns about social media’s impact on young users’ mental health continue to grow. Some states have tried to pass laws restricting social media use for teens under 16, but faced opposition. The report suggests that teens are setting stricter boundaries themselves. The majority of teens believe they use their smartphones the right amount.
