Business Sector Innovates Water Recycling Technologies #

Heavy industry, responsible for up to half of global water consumption, is seeking new ways to recycle water amidst escalating droughts. Key industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, textiles, mining, renewables, and power, heavily rely on water. To address this, companies such as Xylem, Veolia, and a Boston-based startup have been developing cost-effective water reclamation and recycling technologies. Their endeavors aim to reduce costs, energy usage, and chemical dependency in the water and wastewater treatment market, projected to reach $500 billion in value by the end of the decade. Notably, Gradiant, a water purification company, has gained traction with its innovative technology, saving 1.7 billion gallons of water daily. Its impressive clientele includes names like Coca-Cola, BMW, Pfizer, and Adnoc.
